My experience of being treated by Mr Barod was outstanding. Following my diagnosis, I was becoming increasingly anxious and apprehensive, but from our first meeting Mr Barod put me completely at ease with his reassuring and calm manner.I have rarely experienced such excellent communication skills in a doctor. No question of mine was too stupid for him and at all stages I was given all the time I need to digest information and ask whatever I needed. His after-care was similarly excellent and even when no further treatment was deemed necessary he remains available for any concerns or issues which might arise. I would recommend his services wholeheartedly to anyone

Mr Barod and his colleagues performed a radical nephrectomy which was later described as text book. On a ward visit the day after, he made time to ensure any questions I had were fully answered and my rapid recovery has greatly benefitted from his efficient and tidy work. Also, he's a nice chap!

I had been in and out of hospital with kidney problems for the majority of the summer. I was eventually referred to Mr Barod to have my kidney removed. From the very first consultation, he put me at ease and made me feel extremely reassured that I was in safe hands. He explained the procedure step by step, along with any potential complications and how he planned to tackle those. He understood and listened to my concerns and gave me ample opportunity to ask questions along the way. After the operation, I made a speedy recovery with no complications. Mr Barod was kind, professional and put an end to all my previous suffering. I can honestly say that he is a leader in his field. King Edward VII and the Royal Free should be honoured to have such an incredible surgeon practicing at their hospitals. I cannot recommend him highly enough!!
